Dr. Kelly Drover, BSc, Dip. DH, DDS

Dr. Drover graduated from Acadia University with a BSc (Biology/ Psychology) in 1995, followed by a diploma in Dental Hygiene from Dalhousie University in 2000. After practicing as a dental hygienist for two years she decided to fulfill her desire to become a dentist and graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2006. During her academic studies merits included the JD Maclean scholarship, greatest proficiency in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and the Clinical Pediatric Dentistry awards. She also was first place recipient of the Dalhousie Table Clinic Research Award and competed on a national level.

 

Dr. Drover is originally from Lewisporte, Newfoundland, however, began her dental career in Nova Scotia. While practicing at Trimac Dental Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Dr. Drover also provided after hours emergency services for Dalhousie’s dental school. She returned to Newfoundland in 2010 where she practiced at Stavanger Dental for 12 years before following her dream to open her own clinic, Kelly Drover Dental in 2022.

Dr. Drover is committed to providing top quality comprehensive general dentistry services to her patients. She pursues a wide range of continuing education courses, through highly recognized institutions, in order to provide the best possible care.

She practices every aspect of general and family dentistry with special interests in cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign orthodontic treatment and Implantology. She is a strong believer in preventative dentistry and is committed to helping her patients maintain their smiles throughout their lifetime.

 

Dr. Drover completed her certification in Invisalign in 2017 and has been an active member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Dental Association since 2010, the Canadian Dental Association since 2006 and Spear Club since 2021.

 

In 2021, Dr. Drover was honoured to be voted in as Platinum and Top Choice Dentist through St. John’s Community Votes– an official community voting awards platform. She prides herself on caring immensely for the well-being of her patients. She is devoted to providing excellent clinical care and thoroughly enjoys taking the time to get to know her patients and their families.

 

As a mother of three children, much of her time is spent supporting her children and their wide array of interests. Dr. Drover and her husband Chris enjoy camping, entertaining family and friends and travelling - especially if there is a great concert or musical to be seen.

Dr. Alison Papirny

Dr. Alison Papirny was born in the small town of High Level, Alberta. She pursued her Bachelor of Science degree through Grande Prairie Regional Collage, and then completing it at the University of Alberta. Graduating with distinction, she majored in Biological Sciences, and minored in psychology. In 2009 she was accepted into the Doctor of Dental Surgery program at the University of Alberta.

 

In her third year of dental school, she was granted the opportunity to take part in a dentistry exchange program in Dresden, Germany. And in 2017 she audited a week long course focusing on Forensic Odontology (focusing on identification training).

 

Her interests lie in all areas of dentistry, but she is especially excited to be working with digital dentistry at the office. Alison is a firm believer in continuing education, ensuring the best quality of care for her patients.

 

Alison met her husband (a Labradorian), in Alberta. Once she visited the island she fell in love with the people and never looked back. She has been practicing in Newfoundland & Labrador since 2013. She spends most of her off time in the woods, where you can find her quading and hiking with her husband and dog Ripley.
